Anthony's Berserker Army

Here's Anthony smiling as he envisions all the skulls he is about to add to the Throne.
A good look at his Brass Scorpions and some of his troops.
One of his beautiful Khone Lords, and a great example of his painting skills
His second wave(!!) advances across the Bridge, behind his demonic horde. Yes, those are some old Khorne robots in the background
And one of my favorite pieces, his Doomsday Device. Sadly, it did not go off in the battle. We think the Night Lords fifth column changed the lock combo to 9-9-9, and none of the Khornates could figure out the correct code! ("It must be 8-8-8, my Lord! I don't why it won't open!)

More Photos from the Big Game

Here we see the early loading and deploying on the Khorne side. We wisely set up the night before. Just taking all the minis out of their cases and moving to approximate positions took a couple of hours.
Here you can see Anthony laying out his stunning Berserker Legion. All of his mini's are lovingly converted, and extremely nicely painted. I will be showing off more of Anthony's models later.
And here is Touradj's first wave of uncased mini's. Touradj has an ungodly (should that be un-Khorne-ly?) amount of models. His army is about 45,000 points, and is great for an old grognard like me, as it contains the entire history of Games Workshop models. All 3 editions of Juggernoughts will hit you in his Bloodcrusher packs! Touradj actually lent my side a load of non-Khornate daemons just to even up the points!
Here are Anthony's wonderful Forge World Brass Scorpions. This model is lovelier in person. I did not like them when I saw them on the Forge World site, but am completely sold on them now. They were joined by 3 other Defiler-based brothers later in the battle.
The Sea of Red. These are Dave's mini's. He joined the Khorne side to balance out points (TRAITOR!!!), and had a massive amount of vehicles, including 7 Vindicators. You can see 1 of his 3 Blood Slaughterers down there at the bottom.

More photos soon!

The Big Battle

Well the big game came and went! It got moved up a month, but we got everyone together and put about 140,000 points of mini's on the table and fought for Chaos supremacy. Above are my fellow fanatics, (L-R) Anthony, Touradj, Rob, Matt, Paul, myself and Dave. 3 days of chucking dice and we are still smiling!
Here the forces of Khorne are setting up. There is a whole sea of red there...
Just about ready to kick off... We set up Friday night, and fought it out Saturday through Sunday.
Here is some of my finished super-heavies and terminators. I will give you better photos of these later.
This is about half way through. Here we see Rob and Dave squaring off. Yes that is Angroth in the back. Khorne had THREE Angroths on the table at one point. The sea of red is dwindling, but reinforcements are on the way...

In the end, many skulls were laid at the Throne of Blood, and Khorne won. It turns out this battle was to decide which forces would general a fight against the Imperials we will have in March. And then we will start again next December! I will be adding more photos from this battle soon, and some glamour shots of my forces. I am already adding to my army for the March battle.

This Sonic Predator is still a ways out from completion, but this is the basic design/color scheme I am going with. I am shooting for 6 of them, with Blastmasters in the turret, and Sonic Blasters in the sponsoons.

I have been working on several projects at once, which means none of them are done. But I did finish the Temple of Skulls terrain piece. I am quite happy with it.

Noise Marine Termintor WIP

I have been working on these, a huge group of Daemonettes, and a Sonic Predator. I will finish the Terminators just as soon as I finalize the Champions equipment. Either a pair of Claws, or another Sonic Blaster, Claw and Doom Siren. I need to get a photo of the finished Temple of Skulls up soon.

Scenery started for the End of All Times battle.

This is of course the GW Temple of Skulls. We will be using it for End of All Times battle in January. I still have to do the ground, and some work on the eye, but all the stone work is done. should have a finished picture up tomorrow. This is a very nice piece. The red dot in the eye is slightly larger than a 25mm base. The whole thing is just shy of 18"x24". I do recommend not gluing the pillars on until after painting. They added about an hour to the paint job.

New Aquisitions

I just got back from the Labor Day Strategicon. Strategicon runs gaming conventions 3 times a year in the LA area. While the miniatures area was rather poor, the flea market tables were great! I got 2 of the old Chaos terminator lords (without their Kai Guns), an unopened box of Possessed, a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh, a mounted Lord of Slaanesh, and an assembled Daemon Prince (with plastic dragon wings!), all for about $75! I got a bunch of other (non-Slaanesh or non-Chaos) items, caught up with old friends, and help devastate the merchant table of Art of War Terrain (www.artofwarterrain.com). I got several nice terrain pieces from them. All were also non-Slaanesh, but great for my other armies and my LGS GMI games.

Welcome to the Concordium

Welcome to the Concordium of Princes. This blog is a effort to log and inspire my creation of an Emperor's Children-based Apocalypse force. My gaming group is having a massive all Chaos battle royale, with the forces of Khorne taking on all comers. I will be leading the forces of The Prince. I have 4 months to build and paint not only 12,000 points worth of Children, but also special terrain for the event. A lot to do in a short amount of time. I have some units started. The photos above are a taste of things to come...
